POSTPONED: PFCU Kensington Derby & Arts Festival

Dear artists and inventors, buyers and makers, musicians and mudders, eaters and bakers, adventurers, revelers, neighbors and friends—

We like mud. We don’t like COVID. Because of coronavirus we’re putting the 2020 Derby & Arts Festival on hold. A new date will be announced as soon as we know. Think of it as extra planning time for your amazing derby machine or wonderful arts festival offering. Until then, eat well, dream big, hug the people you can, and stay wacky and wondrous!

What’s creative and delicious and covered in mud? The PFCU Kensington Derby & Arts Festival on May 9!

For 14 years the Derby and Arts Festival has drawn families, foodies, artists and inventors to Philadelphia for one of the city’s wackiest celebrations of local flavor.

The event is part arts festival—with more than 100 vendors selling everything from food to handmade goods—and part parade of human-powered vehicles that wind along a three-mile urban obstacle course.

The whole thing is put together by two neighborhood nonprofits–New Kensington Community Development Corporation (NKCDC) and the East Kensington Neighbors Association (EKNA)—with Philadelphia Federal Credit Union (PFCU) as title sponsor.
