Unquiet Fury: the Women’s Uprising in Iran

“Unquiet Fury: the Women’s Uprising in Iran” presents the work of Iranian American, Nazanin Moghbeli that was made in response to the cultural uprising that began in 2022 and was led by women. Moghbeli’s work abstracts traditional Persian calligraphy and combines it with Farsi poetry and fragments of CIA documents, capturing the undulating course of Iranian culture and national identity.

From January 28 through March 11, 2023, InLiquid invites you to visit the show at The Crane Local Gallery in the Crane Arts Building in South Kensington, 1400 North American Street. Show hours are Wednesday – Saturday, from 12- 6 pm. Free, public receptions will be held on February 9 from 6-9 p.m. and March 9 from 6-9 p.m. All work is for sale, and proceeds are shared by the artist and InLiquid, a 501(c)3 non-profit.
