Kensington Business Assistance Program 

Are you a business owner looking for expert support to strengthen and grow your business? If your business is located in an eligible area of Kensington, NKCDC can connect you with professional services—at no cost to you!

The Kensington Business Assistance Program provides small business owners with access to professional services including: 

  • Financial Services: Bookkeeping, accounting, financial advice, and tax preparation 
  • Legal Support: Business law and compliance, zoning and commercial leasing 
  • Business Strategy & Marketing: Business planning, marketing, branding, and communications 
  • Digital Presence: Website development, e-commerce, social media, and SEO 
  • Technology & Operations: Inventory management, point-of-sale systems, and tech assistance 
  • Safety Enhancements: Storefront security upgrades, fire safety, and insurance guidance

NKCDC can fully or partially cover the cost of one-on-one consultation services, as well as designated technology upgrades and physical improvements to your storefront. NKCDC will pay service providers and consultants directly on behalf of eligible businesses.  

Eligibility 

Businesses must meet the following eligibility requirements to receive support: 

  • Business has a physical location within designated boundaries shown in the map below.  
  • Business demonstrates a minimum of $40,000 in annual revenue through tax documents, bank statements, profit and loss statement, or receipts.  
  • Business demonstrates a specific need for support. 
  • Business is willing to work with a service provider referred by NKCDC or has an established relationship with their own preferred provider.
