Election Day “Rovers”

The City of Philadelphia and City Commissioners are organizing a Roving Program to provide additional support outside polling places across the city.


  • Ensure voters are at the right polling location
  • Polling place line control
  • Provide voters COVID-19 PPE materials including, but not limited to sanitizer and face masks
  • Assist poll workers and report issues to central headquarters

Compensation is $13.75 per hour. Shifts or all-day work are possible. You must be a Philadelphia resident. Despite the questions on the form you do not need to have a car to hold this position. However, individuals with a car (and valid registration, insurance, license) are strongly encouraged to apply in case the need arises to travel between multiple locations.

Clerical Assistants 

Clerical Assistants will engage in a variety of clerical tasks, including but not limited to: data entry and processing, filing, and proof-reading.

Candidates should be knowledgeable of:

  • Office practices and procedures
  • The English language, spelling, and general clerical procedures
  • Arithmetic
  • Basic computing including Microsoft office applications

Additional requirements

  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be a Philadelphia resident
  • Must be willing to work a full-time schedule

Data Processor

  • Provide administrative support to the Philadelphia elections administration team
  • Schedule: Flexible! Pick your schedule! Open Monday – Sunday (7AM-3PM) or (3PM – 11PM)
  • Pay Rate: $18/hr.
  • Temporary: 4-6 week assignment starting immediately!

Job Responsibilities & Description

  • Enter, review, and update customer information.
  • Carry out oral and written instructions as needed.
  • Verify customer information for accuracy.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.

Job Requirements 

  • High school Diploma or GED.
  • Basic math comprehension.
  • Communicating with the general public.
  • Read, write, and communicate in English
