Blog NKCDC Announcing a bigger, better, more beautiful nkcdc.org

NKCDC is thrilled to announce the launch of its new website at www.nkcdc.org.

Designed by Philly’s own Pixel Parlor, the new site improves access to NKCDC services. Nearly two-thirds of internet searches happen on mobile devices, and nkcdc.org is now mobile-friendly. In parts of Kensington and across Philadelphia, one in ten residents speak Spanish at home. Beginning in 2020, the site will be available in Spanish.

The new site also improves NKCDC’s efficiency by allowing us to retire five separate websites, bringing multiple services into one location. Those services include:

  • First Friday Events
Previously at frankfordavearts.org, you can now find and post First Friday events on www.nkcdc.org. The First Friday list is part of a new online calendar for all community happenings. Browse tomorrow’s events and add yours here!
  • Property Listings
Previously on gokensington.org, this updated list includes available commercial, industrial, and vacant land properties across the 19125 and 19134 zip codes.
  • Business Directory
Shop local with a searchable Business Directory & Neighborhood Resource Guide. Reach your target market in Fishtown, Kensington and Port Richmond—year-round—with a free listing in this directory (also published in print).

NKCDC provides free housing services to anyone in Philadelphia. For residents of Kensington, Fishtown and Port Richmond, we have even more resources. Visit nkcdc.org for:

  • Housing Resources
Whether you own or rent your home, NKCDC’s certified housing advisors can help you with all your housing needs—buying a home, energy assistance, foreclosure, property tax, rent rebates, weatherization, repair. Our services are free.
  • Community Resources
Learn more about where you live. A wealth of carefully selected contacts, from local neighborhood associations, schools and crime reports, to sources for lead and air testing, drug addiction, affordable health care and fresh food.
  • Artist Resources
NKCDC formed Frankford Avenue Arts in 2005 to foster the creative economy along Frankford Avenue. Today, we promote the thriving arts and creative business scene across the River Wards by connecting artists with opportunities and funding sources.
  • Business Resources
Let NKCDC make running your business easier. We can connect you with free business plan development and small business consulting, local and low barrier financial resources and opportunities for training, networking and promotion.
