Owner Sunny Phanthavong worked at her family’s business for 17 years. She decided to open up her own place because of the knowledge she acquired from running her parents’ restaurant in West Philly. Sunny and her partner chose Kensington as the best fit for her restaurant because of her partner’s family roots in the neighborhood. She expressed how she was able to sustain her business because of support from NKCDC and the Philadelphia Department of Commerce Business Security Camera and Instore Loan programs.
