Blog Commercial Grow with Google—and get local business resources

Business owners and entrepreneurs: do you know how customers find you online? On Tuesday, October 22, NKCDC is hosting a Grow with Google Workshop and Small Business Resource Fair to connect you with local resources and help you improve your business visibility on Google—the search engine that nearly 70% of customers use.

Grow with Google Speaker Randi F. Penfil will demonstrate best practices to improve your website’s visibility in Google’s organic search results across all devices. Learn to create a free profile on Google My Business and keep it updated. Start advertising your business with Google Smart Campaigns.

The event will be held at Philadelphia Brewing Company, 2440 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia. Registration, breakfast snacks and the Small Business Resource Fair will open at 8:30 AM. The workshop, “Reach Customers Online with Google” will begin at 9:00.

Penfil is a Baltimore-based speaker and trainer with more than 20 years’ experience in sales, business development and digital marketing. Before joining the Grow with Google team, she was Regional Development Director for Constant Contact. Her passion is “helping small businesses and nonprofits take control of their digital footprint,” she says.

The Resource Fair will include information and representatives from Philadelphia Department of Commerce, Sustainable Business Network, Philadelphia VIP, Women’s Business Enterprise Council East, Temple University Small Business Development Center, FINANTA, CCP Power Up Your Business and Impact Loan Fund.

“This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with local organizations who offer resources and information for small businesses and aspiring entrepreneurs,” said NKCDC Commercial Corridor Manager, Jessi Ray Koch.
