Neighborhood Stabilization Program
 - Furthering our goal of enhancing the community, NKCDC, in partnership with the Redevelopment Authority of Philadelphia (RDA) will be rehabilitating area homes and offering them for sale to income-eligible first time homebuyers. (more info)




Moyer Street Townhomes - NKCDC will soon begin construction on 14 new townhomes on the 400 block of Moyer Street. This project is part of our on-going efforts to provide housing opportunities for working families in the neighborhood. Four of the 14 houses will be reserved for first time homebuyers who are income eligible (more info)




The weeHouse - 
NKCDC has provided the groundwork for a commissioned theoretical project that places rendered weeHouse developments on existing vacant lots within the community. Presented with the challenges facing CDCs, Alchemy Architects (designer of the weeHouse) provides real design solutions for mixed-use, single and multi-unit dwellings. (more info)




Infill Housing Challenge
 - East Kensington was once a hub of textile manufacturing. It now, however, faces a decline in residences and houses that are too small to convert to modern needs. Solving this problem is key to the neighborhood's transition to a healthy, more residential community. Partnering with Philadelphia Neighborhood Development Corporation, the Community Design Coalition, and Francis Cauffman Foley Hoffman Architects, NKCDC developed a model to convert typical row homes into stable, attractive homes for the neighborhood.
